Is there any substitute for this? I'd be willing to pay someone for a plugin for Finale 25 that would do what the "Count Items" plugin used to do in previous iterations.

If you don't want to run maintenance on your working copy, duplicate the file and use that.

If it's just the number of measures, then that's very easy to work out. Alternatively, "Frames" is roughly the same as the number of non-empty measures.
