FWIW, I am back on F25. Why? Because all previous version of Finale no longer work at all. I tried updating to Sierra first (never did the last Security Update to El Cap since it screwed up so much other stuff). F2014.5 was working great, but wouldn't launch. F2014 would launch (at first) but the crash at articulation bug was unbearable. Eventually, it also stopped launching.

F25 seems OK so far, but the lack of a movie window and the Rewire work around will slow my composing down quite a bit.

Is anyone seeing a major problem I should look out for in F25 (in general)? I'm sure if there are serious issues I'll probably hit them by the end of this session. I have a fairly big orchestral score coming up ini the early Spring and I'm hoping things will iron out a bit by then. Until that time I'm crossing my fingers and toes...

25.2 fixes a lot of minor bugs.

The transport has changed in a way that I find annoying but I'll learn to deal with it. Not a bug, apparently.

I'm reading that the 25.2 update is wonky for some, so I'd stay away from that until the smoke clears. Meanwhile, I'd try to get 2014.5 working again. Maybe do the test of creating a new user account and see if it runs there. If not, maybe some of the experts here can help out. Post a crash report if you can get one. 2014.5 seems like it was used successfully by many users. If you can get it fixed, that might be the way to go.

2014.5 launches fine for me in Sierra as does 2011. Do you have an audio device available and on or headphones plugged in?

25 and Windows 10 have some clown car issues that do not affect the Mac.

At least one Mac Pro user has had an issue with Finalescript.

Thanks, guys. I have a MOTU Track 16 plugged in. There is no audio input in the trans can. Right now I have a show to finish for tonight and F25 is working. My Roland PCR-300 as well as my M-Audio input keyboards are also gone with Sierra. This is son frustrating. Between Apple screwing with the OS, Roland and others abandoning their gear drivers, and MM screwing up Finale, it's a god awful mess.

I'll try the alternate user account. Sounds like that may be a possibility but since I sprung for F25 and I have to get several arrangements done pronto, I'll not be able to hammer this crap out until next week.

I appreciate your responses more than you might suspect... ;) Thanks!
