I guess one could use three separate page ranges, 1 to n-1, n, and n+1 on.
I tried making an opaque expression to cover it up, but page numbers are drawn afterwards. Maybe a graphic would work.

As a workaround I created a white rectangle in Inkscape, imported it as a graphic and covered the page number.
