Dan:

I have the quantitization set at 8th notes and have also tried 16ths. I've used hyperscribe and never had this problem until 2002b and XP. Speedy entry works, so it's got to be some quirk in the hyperscribe, I would think. Any other suggestions? I went through all of the helps I could find on the links you sent me, but to no avail. It's got to be something really different since it's always worked for me before.

Thanks!

Another thing I noticed. In a message sent by someone not too long ago who couldn't get their hyperscribe to work, they said they chose the 16-bit midi driver and then it worked. Now that was in Finale 2001 and was on Windows ME. I went to my Finale files and found a 16-bit midi driver there, but when I choose Midi from inside Finale, it only gives me the option of a 32-bit driver. I wonder if it let me choose the 16-bit one, if hyperscribe would work. Can someone from Coda solve this for me?

Thanks!

The 16-bit MIDI driver will not be availble in Windows 2000 or XP due to how those operating systems work. Why don't you write an email to winsupport@makemusic.com and ask for the EXP Lab test. We'll send it out, and see if your MIDI drivers are working properly.
