Posted By : David Sosnowski - 10/22/2016 9:51 PM | When I try to use the ARIA standalone player (installed by Finale V25.1) I get the following error dialogue:
init: Audio Engine Start Error Check Preferences. Maybe the current driver doesn't support this sample rate
The player does open after that... but no sound. I have tried every combination of preferences, same thing.
ARIA Player v1.872 ARIA Engine v1.877
Running Windows 10/AU on a Dell XPS13
Anyone have a clue on this?
Thanks,

No, not ASIO. Can you suggest one for Windows 10? I'm a bit rusty on this.
By the way, this problem appears to have developed after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
It worked fine, previous to that! David Sosnowski

If you Google asio4all, there are a number of download sites. I do not recommend this for regular Finale; just try it on the standalone Aria and see if it works. Finale 2014-5, GPO 5, JABB 3, Garritan Steinway Basic, Garritan World Instruments Windows 10, 64 bit Intel Core 2 Quad, 8GB RAM |

Wlgold -- with ASIO4All the player works... but it does not recognize my USB speakers. David Sosnowski
