I'm having a problem with my playback. It just stopped playing back and all I'm' getting is a roll of numbers flying by at hyper-speed on the bottom left corner with the words "Processing Measure ___" Anyone else having that problem? Anyone know how to fix it?

It sounds like you have set up a repeat with an infinite loop. Finale keeps cycling through the loop and never gets to the actual playback.
To get out of the loop, force-quit Finale, and restart the computer. When you are back in the Finale document, delete the repeat(s), and playback should work again. To re-create the repeats try the repeat plugin, which will create correct repeats without infinite loops.

Peter, My screen looks normal and there are no numbers scrolling by, but no sound comes out when I do the playback. I even tried to uninstall and reinstall Finale but I kept getting the message at the end of the reinstallation that it didn't need to be reinstalled. It was working fine last night. The speakers are plugged in - I checked. What did I do to make the sound disappear?
