After more years than expected, the time has come to pass the baton to the next generation. Starting with the Finale 2009 release, I will be retiring as the Forum Moderator. As of this writing, the replacement has not yet been determined, but will be from Customer Support or Marketing instead of Quality Assurance where I have moved. I'll continue to visit the Forum, add my two cents on the best beverage while composing (Summit Maibock), and offer advice on engraving puzzles. Your new moderator will be around to squash spammers, boot off pirates and encourage a polite atmosphere.

Keep wondering, keep wandering, but try not to do both at once. You run into things.

No-one's drawn the short straw yet, then? :p

Carla, thanks for all your efforts. Your expert advice and timely umpiring has been very helpful. Good luck.

PS. Any sign of a reply to the EPS problem I emailed you a while back....?

Thank you, Carla. I've long appreciated the spirit you've brought to your work. Your eagerness to answer questions and to honestly listen to user's problems and frustrations, and your desire to provide solutions has put a personal face on the company you work for. You'll be missed as Moderator, but I can't think of another person that I'd rather be directing their focus toward quality assurance.

Yeah, that was part of the problem - why find someone else when Carla's doing such a fine job? Unfortunately, I'm too honest to fail spectacularly just to force the issue. :sigh:

P.S.S. Doh! Yup, I got the demonstration files for a solution all set and then got distracted again. Thanks for the reminder!

Best of luck - your diligence is a real asset to your company.

Best beverage while composing? Try a Shiner Bock.

I also want to take a moment to thank Carla for her time and efforts on the forums. She has done an amazing job of answer questions, calming nerves, cooling arguments, communication information back to MakeMusic and doing about 1,000 other things in her spare time.

Thank you!
