Number one: this is the SmartMusic forum, which doesn't use MIDI, so you're obviously not using SmartMusic.
Number two: You don't mention that you're using any MakeMusic software, like Finale or PrintMusic, but instead using a completely unrelated software.
I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your MIDI controller or MIDI card.
