Hello, friends!

I have been using an Epsom ink jet Printer (360 to 720 dpi) for years with not bad results but I
would like to improve the quality of my printings towards a higher definition (1200 or 2400 dpi).
As I am not yet sure about the best printing system for music engraving to choose, if ink jet or
laser, could anyone give me some suggestions on this matter ? Many thanks in advance.

Andrew

P.S.: if it could be helpful : I use Finale 2002 running on Mac G3 OS 9.0.

Andrew:

I use the HP LaserJet 5000, and I love it.

Cheers.

The HP 5000 seems to be the nearly universal choice. Better get one before Carly finishes putting HP down the tubes.

Does the 5000 use real Adobe Postscript
or a clone? I've had a couple of .PDF
printing problems on 2100TNs. files that
printed just fine on my 4MV at home. It
has real Adobe PS and the 2100 has
emulated PS.

Leonard:

I believe that the HP5000 uses a clone, but on the Mac I have experienced none of the PostScript problems that plague Windows users.

Cheers.
