Would a kind soul out there be wiling to transcribe the opening instrumental bars of Joan Baez' "I Wonder as I Wander"?

I have the recording, and I would just like to have the opening bars for piano.

Thanks.

It's the 2 part flute opening, right?

Well, if someone did this for you, it shouldn't be done here, as it might involve legalities.
Maybe contact someone privately via PM and provided an email address.

Best would be to find a music student to do it, and pay them for their work.

True. But maybe one of us has already done it. I'm not giving names.

Music dictation is no longer part of music education these days?

IMO, the OP should transcribe it him/herself. Transcribing by ear is an important skill to learn and have. The intro in question is short, just a couple instruments involved. It would be good training.

I agree. But there are times when I couldn't get it all correctly. Once, I called the composer
after struggling with a transcription, and he kindly sent me a copy.

Yes, the OP might need help. Still, it's worthwhile to try.

My first experience with transcribing by ear was in 7th grade. I played cornet and wanted to play a Tijuana brass song. I asked my teacher for the music, he gave me a couple sheets of manuscript paper and told me to try it notate it myself and bring it back in a week. That turned out to be one of the most important music lessons I ever had.

We used to slow 45's down to 3 1/3 but the pitch difference was confusing. A little easier with cassette tapes, as you didn't have to drop the needle.
With digital, slowing down without changing the pitch is a great help. With the ability to import an audio file into Finale, transcription is so much easier.
