| Posted By : Graeme Gilmore - 8/25/2016 6:46 PM | On my Finale25, the sound is almost inaudible, whether played through VST or through MIDI. Finale 2014.5, on the same machine, plays the same files normally. I've never had this problem with any other version of Finale. Any suggestions?

Previously I did look at the Windows Volume mixer and the slide was all the way to the top. After seeing bpaim’s suggestion, I happened to load Finale 2014.5. A file played normally (as it always has in 2014.5).
The, leaving Finale 2014.5 open, I opened Finale25. It was not shown on the sound card and there was almost no volume. Ah, ha. there is program interference. Now I’m not so sure. I closed both programs and opened them again in the same sequence as described above. Both had normal sound.
Anyway, the problem seems solved, probably due to something that happened as I tried bpaim’s suggestions.
