I just put in a jazz trombone feature, which contained 1st and 2nd endings, a DS and a coda. I added rehearsal marks to the Finale file, but then when I opened it as a smartmusic file, none of the repeats or marks were there. I saved it as an ensemble and a solo, just to make sure that didn't make a difference. Any ideas?

In the Edit menu in Finale, did you run the "Add SmartMusic Markers" command? Do that and click the "Create/Update Repeat Markers" button. When you click OK, you should see the markers on the score. Save the file as the SmartMusic accompaniment and give it a try. If it doesn't work, you could either send your Finale file into customer support or post it here. I just tried it with a little file and it seems to work well.

If you have plain Finale 2005, the "Add SmartMusic Markers" is only in Finale 2005a - they accidentaly left it out of Finale 2005

The finale file shows them in the score, but then when saved as SM and opened, they don't appear as they should. I've tried everything I can think of...

Sorry for the late reply, but I have it on my laptop, and I'll need to post from school tomorrow. I was working with a student on the Webern Bassoon Concerto today, and I noticed that that didn't have any rehearsal marks either. I'm sure that it must, considering that the bassoon doesn't even play the intro. All that is showing is Beginning and End. Is this a problem with Smartmusic 8.4? If you have it, please check the bassoon concerto and let me know what you see.

Thanks,

Brian

I don't think it's a bug in the program, since other accompaniments do have the rehearsal marks. But I can confirm that the Weber concerto doesn't have them. Go ahead and submit a request to winsupport@smartmusic.com.
