When I access SM from another computer with my account, I see it does not load the settings which I set from my computer. I organised my playlists in part to be able to show prospective students and administrators on my home computer and when I went to another computer to show someone else what I had prepared, these playlists did not show up.

I now return to my computer, find my playlists, but cannot access the files for any pieces now. It tells me I need a "full subscription".

It seems there is some issue with accessing your full account from any computer. This makes it difficult here in Spain where SM just came on the market and where I am making efforts to get my students at different schools and in different ensembles, trying to get them connected with the SM platform so that we can start working

Bacchus,

Thanks for posting. Currently SmartMusic is a per device subscription, meaning that you need 1 subscription for every computer you wish to access SmartMusic. If you want to use the software at school on a desktop, and home on a laptop, you would need 2 subscriptions. The second subscription would be at a reduced rate ($36) and because you already have an educator subscription you will be able to access your Gradebook from that computer.

On July 1st, 2013 we will be switching to a per user model. This will allow you to use your single subscription on any computer. If you teach at multiple schools you will only need one educator subscription to send assignments to your students. If your students purchase a subscription (increasing from $36 to $40) they will also be able to use that subscription anywhere - school, home, contest, and the iPad (this spring).
