I'm writing a song with lyrics in French, so I need some of the accented/special characters. To complicate things, I'm using the JazzText font; I tried copying and pasting the é character, but it displayed as a capital R with a box around it. I also tried using the French keyboard on my computer, but it shows up as the same thing.

So I have 2 main questions:

1. Does the JazzText font support other languages besides English?
2. If not, any suggestions for accent marks/special characters? So far, my only idea was to use a break mark and just move it to the lyric line.

Finale 2012c, Windows 10.

Thanks!!

For the extra characters (with the marks) you need to use the Jazz Text Extended font.

Hmm, I tried that, but I ran into 2 issues:

1. I tried to get an accented E, but I only get an E with a ring over it, not an accent.
2. I also need a Ç, but that, as well as the apostrophe key, shows up as a rectangle box, the symbol for "this font doesn't recognize this symbol."

Any ideas?

Both lower and upper case letters with the Jazz Text Extended font.
