Posted By : Ronwass - 12/4/2016 7:13 PM | I know I should know this, but is there a way to globally change, say, all instances of E below the bass clef, to a D? Leaving all other notes alone?
I'm looking at JW change, but can't find the setting for specific pitch.

Basically, you click in a measure with the pitch you want to change, select a note of that pitch, then use the separate "Search" menu that appears. It seems to change that pitch everywhere in every staff, which may or may not be what you want.

That is it is available on Mac for 2014.5 and earlier back to 2011 (I think) but not yet for v25. This current lack of the JW plug-ins makes v25 of limited interest to me (and I suspect some others). David Ward www.composers-uk.com/davidward

Posted By : Zuill - 12/6/2016 11:01 AM | I was able to do it quite easily with the Note Mover Tool. Maybe we need a sample file to test.

P.S.: My suggestion in using the Note Mover Tool is to be in the part needing the change. Otherwise, it will look for the note in all staves. There isn't an option to run it on just one staff. My test supports my finding. "When all is said and done, more is said than done."

Good to know if works on a part without affecting other staves, since it probably predates linked parts by at least a decade. Posted By : Zuill - 12/6/2016 12:11 PM | In Note Mover Tool, select the measure with the first occurrence of the note and select the handle of the first note of the pitch needing change. In the menu, choose search and replace and set the transposition. Now, with the new menu item on the bar, choose the option you want. I would choose Replace All, probably.

P.S.: I guess a thousand words is worth a picture. Here are the instructions from the manual: https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/Finale2014Mac/Content/Finale/Search_and_replace.htm "When all is said and done, more is said than done."
