Honestly, I go back and forth between wanting the beams broken because I don't like piles of beams over rests (especially when the rests need to move out of the way), and wanting them unbroken...

I would swear that I have done this before. I have many measures of eighth notes in 6/8 time, with rests on beats 2 and 5. My time signature is in two dotted quarter beats (not 6 eighth note beats)....

I just stumbled onto this problem. I have the full Finale (2012c.R13). I have a piece with several movements and each one had a separate Finale file. I wanted to merge them, so I added one measure...
