The Audio Unit Viewer in Finale 2014.5 allows for checking for ARIA Player and Engine updates. That's nice. Instead of regularly having to surf to the MakeMusic site to check if there is an update or not since there are no other means of knowing whether a new version is available, we can now check with the click of a button if we can or need to update or not.
Well, I assume that's what it is supposed to do, at least. When I click the button it says:

"Checking ARIA Player Version
You have an unreleased version"

Same results in the standalone ARIA Player app.
The version of Player and Engine is 1.846, according to the Audio Unit Viewer. The MakeMusic site shows versions of the ARIA Player from the dark ages (version 1620). Have I altered the future? Will no butterfly ever die from now on?

Even the ARIA player support website does not yet have the latest version available, 1.846.  It stops at 1.844.  This might be the reason for the message.

BTW:  Windows users get the message dialog when they open the Aria player and click "Settings" then "Player/Engine Update".
