I have a student with a problem: in speedy entry wild and multiple notes are added along with the single one which is pressed. He is new to finale and has had trouble with this all along. I brought over my keyboard and plugged it into his system, and it didn't work correctly there either. The machine has been turned on and turned off multiple times! What can we do? Kia

You might get a better response by posting on the Mac or Windows notation forums. This forum is for developing small programs for use within Finale.

My guess would be to check that MicNotator isn't turned on (MIDI Menu/MicNotator.) This would pick up any background noise or overtones through the microphone and try to notate it as a pitch.
