Valerie

Welcome to the forums. First of all, just to let you know that you have posted in an area where you are unlikely to get many responses. This is for developers who write plug-in software for Finale.

The answer may depend upon whether you use a Mac or a PC, so you should post in one of those areas.

But in answer to your question:
Finale can export audio files (.aiff, .wav or .mp3). (Use "Save Special > Save As Audio File" in the File Menu)
Finale can import and export MIDI files (which are not technically an audio sound format, but a list of events). (Use "open" in the File menu to import and "Save As" to Export.)

You can therefore use Finale to import a MIDI file, and you can then apply instruments and other effects to the music, and then export as an .mp3 file.
