Good day!

I have one question...

In the FINALE's manual, for use the sounds GARRITAN,... is necessary at least one processor with 1.8 GHz...

But, I have in my computer one processor with only 1.6 GHz, but, is the AMD Turion 64 x 2,...

My processor is "duo core"?

My processor is useful?

I have one Laptop HP pavilion dv2315nr, with 1 GB Ram

Thanks! and excuseme my candid Languaje!smilewinkgrin

Finale, like many older Windows applications, cannot make use of more than one processor core, this is why on a Core Duo machine you see "50%" CPU utlisation during playback, rather than the "100%" that is reported on single-processor boxes. In theory, a software synth or sampler could make use of the second processor core, but I don't believe this is currently true of the Finale-bundled version of Kontakt and GPO.

So apart from being able to run other applications alongside Finale, you don't get much (if any) benefit from using a dual- (or quad-) core CPU over a single-core one of the same speed.

As for a 1.6GHz AMD versus a 1.8GHz Intel processor, you might well have enough power to run GPO, but the only way to be certain would be to try. You might also want to look at bumping your RAM up to 2Gb.
