Ok I so I just received my copy of finale in the mail today. 2009 and I'm running a mac with the most up to date system possible. When I save an MP3, the high voices (especially trumpets...go figure) are causing a harsh sound in the speaker like there is too much treble or something. It doesn't sound pretty... I tried playing with the mixing board and no luck on how to get the trumpets to go down in volume a little bit.

Any suggestions?

...one more thing for clarification, Playback within finale sounds great! no balance issues or cracking speakers....just in the mp3.

What happens if you save as an AIFF? Perhaps you could then convert to .mp3 in iTunes, or other prog.

Well iTunes can read .aiff which is nice. However there is no difference between the two in playback; I still get the crackling speakers b.c. the trumpets are too loud.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

thanks for your help.
