I've been using the change case command successfully with Finalescript using the syntax

search "sus cymb" case replace "Sus. Cym."

However, I keep having to add to my list of substitutions for each word or phrase because the word being searched for is case sensitive in the above script, not the result I am looking for. e.g. I want to be able to search for all of the following

Sus Cym
sus cym
SUS CYM
Sus CYM

and replace any of the above with the following case sensitive "Sus. Cym."

Is there a way to search for *all* occurrences of a specific string of text regardless of case and output specific case for result?

Thank you!

Hello Robert,

I don't have a solution but I just wanted to chime in on what a great idea this is.

Thanks,

Well, Robert, I don't think there is anything special to do in that case.

The following script works for me with a test file including various fancy casing for the same string:

search "sus cym" "Sus. Cym."

In other words, you don't need to actually specify any 'case' modifer.

Let me know if it works for you as well.
