I'm trying to find a very quick way to transpose to all keys.

I'm interested in two appearances of accidentals. 1) no key signature with accidentals to designate key changes and 2) key signature transpositions for all 12 (er 11) transpositions.

ThANKS.

Finalescript can transpose, both chromatically and by key signature.

How do you transpose chromatically with Finalescript? I don't seem to be able to figure out the syntax/command that does that. Please help!

Here's a sample script from 2009 that will chromatically transpose down a minor third.

selection tool
select all
menu item "transpose"
check "down"
check "chromatically"
popup "minor third"
press ok
respace
update layout

Thanks Jetcopy, but that doesn't change the key signature, unless I am mistaken. I think we need a transpose command that changes the key signature, any key changes throughout the piece, as well as the notes (obviously) by the same amount.

Hedge,

You asked for a script that transposes chromatically. That's what I gave you. If you want to transpose by changing the key signature, a sample script that does that is included with 2009.

Fine, I suppose so. Nevermind, some of us on this forum have tried to solve that problem (the sample script you were referring to certainly isn't the answer). I just thought you might know. Thank you for all the responses so far. sad redface
