After a recent incident where Finale was accidentally uninstalled, I reinstalled it and now I get no sound from saved files. These files worked fine previous to the uninstall problem. The sound function on my computer is otherwise working perfectly.

How do I get sound back within Finale while playing back saved files? Someone suggested that something in the MIDI settings might be out of whack.

I have v 2005.r4

You might want to try posting on one of the notation forums - either Windows or Mac as appropriate. This forum is for users of the practice software SmartMusic.

Without knowing what platform you're using, it's hard to guess what might be wrong.

Carla, why aren't there separate "SmartMusic Windows" and "SmartMusic Macintosh" forums?

Or more to the point, why don't we have just one forum for Finale? So often, you see the same questions being asked and answered independently in these two parallel universes!
