Hi,

I just upgraded to SmartMusic2010, and I'm a bit lost.
In SmartMusic11, it was very easy to find solo pieces that had music onscreen, and the program came with a collection of these already.
With the new version, everything now needs to be downloaded, and even pieces that say they have music onscreen on the download screen aren't opening music onscreen.

Worse yet, once I've downloaded several solo pieces, there doesn't seem to be any way to distinguish between those with music onscreen, and those without.
The old version had an icon next to the piece indicating whether music onscreen was available.

Am I missing something?

This was my primary use of the product. I'd be very sad to see it go.

Regards,

Joe

battlej,

Welcome to the Forum!

Yes, we do still have the solo titles with music on-screen available.  If you start from the SmartMusic Home screen and click Solos > Instrument Name you will see a checkmark by each solo with music on-screen.

It's true this same checkmark does not appear in the On This Computer screen, and I have submitted a feature request on your behalf to add this column.  However, you can deduce which solos have music on the screen.

If the Category is listed as Solo and the Publisher is listed as MakeMusic Inc, then that title is one of the Baroque era solos where we have music available on the screen.  See attached jpeg for an illustration.

I hope that helps!

Thanks,

Travis Shepard
