Original computer: Win XP SP3, SmartMusic 2011 worked fine. Last week I joined this computer to the domain and changed it's IP address, the next day SmartMusic hangs at the splash screen.
2nd computer: Win 7 Professional 32-bit, already a member of the domain, Installed SmartMusic 2011a to see if it would work on her other computer. It hangs at the splash screen as well.
Teacher's New computer: (This one is replacing the original), not joined to the domain - not going to, Windows Vista 32-bit, Installed SmartMusic 2011a - It will run fine when logged in as Administrator, but it hangs when logged in as the teacher (or any other user), even though she is a member of the local administrators group, and even though I use the "Run as administrator" option (or win xp compatability). I even opened the security settings for the smartmusic folder and gave all users full control rights.
I don't care about the first two computers - the one is being replaced, the other was an attempt at a temporary solution. I find it really weird that it will hang on three different computers, using three different setups, installed from different downloads, and yet it will work on this computer if the user is switched to the Administrator. (This is just the local administrator account, and has nothing to do with the domain)
Does anyone have any ideas? I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Tech Support after three calls.
