I've been around Finale since version 3.1, but I'm trying SmartMusic for the first time this fall.

I've created a class for students to enroll into, but in the meantime I've also created a couple of "sandbox" classes where I can play with assignments to make sure I understand all the settings, what students will see when they log in to do assignments, etc.

My problem is that, after setting up an assignment and clicking "schedule," the dialog box that asks me to "Select Classes/Students" only shows one of the classes I set up--my sandboxes aren't there.

Is there something I've done that would prevent ALL my classes from appearing in this box? Is there a reason I can't select from all my classes when scheduling an assignment? (NONE of the classes have students enrolled yet...)

Thanks for posting. I would recommend taking a look at your Sandbox Class start date and make sure it is in-line with the schedule dates for the created assignment. Classes will only appear if the schedule date falls within the grading period.
