My Italian may be a little rusty, but does this mean "Horns in E Flat?"

I believe that is the German term for E flat.

Actually it's a mixture of Italian and German.
This was probably written by a musician, not by a language expert.

"Corni" is Italian, meaning "Horns".

"Es" is German, meaning "E flat".

If you want to study the German note names, just try the Finale Chord Style "German".
The German names for "B natural" and "B flat" are interesting...

from whence the chromatically interesting motif B-A-C-H used by so many composers (Bach included, particularly moving in The Art of the Fugue).

Another musical anagram is D-S-C-H used by Dmitri Schostakowitch in his 10th symphony. (if you note the tentative arrival of the theme, then the "triumphant" use of it towards the end of the movement, it's quite nerve-tingling)
