Pretty much for the same reason it doesn't include red-eye reduction, automatic footnote generation, or audio waveform editing capabilities: Finale is first and foremost a notation program. Sure, it includes some features in the area of automatic accompaniment generation, just as it includes some facilities in the areas of graphics, text editing, and audio. But it is not reasonable to expect Finale to do as well in these regards as programs designed for these purposes. If you want red-eye reducation, get a photo editing program. If you want automatic footnote generation, get a word processor. If you want audio waveform editing, get an audio program. And if you want more flexible automatic generation of accompaniment, get a program designed for that purpose, like Band-in-a-Box, which was recommended in another thread.
