I have a file which I think I have set up like all my other files and for some reason I am having major volume issues - I have piano (mp), flute (p) and voice (mf) and I can just about here the voice despite going in to the mixer and whacking the voices all up to max and lowering the others. I have tried clearing all MIDI data, I have tried changing the voice to ffff and it makes a slight difference, I have tried changing the choir sound from GPO4 to Instruments for Finale 2010 - all to no avail. any ideas or do I need to post the file?

Thanks
Tom
Oh, I have opened many other files today and there is no problem and I have even tried creating a whole new document and copying/inserting into the the new one :(

sometimes, the staff name can have an impact on how Finale plays back.

is your voice staff named? (staff tool, [I think it's] right-click on the upper handle, look at the space given for the staff name).

Yes they are named - never had this problem before, what kind of issues does this cause?

There are different playback options for different instruments and HP depends on the staff name to know what's what. Volume, for example, is handled differently on percussion than on tuned instruments.
