im trying to compose a song, but i cant figure out how to change the clef sign or how to put in notes. Can somebody please help me. it's my first time. Thanks in advance.:-)

Let's start with the basics:

1. Which program and version are you using?
2. Did you do the tutorials already?
3. Are you using a MIDI keyboard?

Finale Reader is only for viewing Finale files. You need to purchase at least Notepad to actually compose.

Also remember that you can download demo versions which will let you play with the software for 30 days. That should be long enough for you to find out if it's right for you.
