So did you contact MM support for assistance?

Are you using the new Dolet XML plug-in free from MakeMusic, or are you using the old XML export in the File > Export menu? The free plug-in (which installs in the Plug-In Menu, as one might expect) is better.

Technical support seems to unavailable due to Christamas break. So far have tried uinf the Finale version in File menu. Will now try the DOLET plugin I guess.

So it seems that the DOLET plugin has done the trick. Why the hell then do FINALE include Export to XML in their File menu if it doesn't work????

Because it was already in the software, when MM hired the developer of XML, and made the previously charged-for version of Dolet, free.

IIRC, there were a number of posts about it on the forum, when it happened.

Bret,

I'm glad you found a solution, but Mike is right about the reason for the File Menu option. The plug-in was an upgrade, and a very welcome one, as you (and we all) have discovered.
