The rules aren't based on simply following a down bow with an up bow. Two slurred notes might start down bow, but the third note, not included in the slur, might actually ALSO be down bow.
I suggest, instead, that you purchase a good book on bowing techniques and brush up on it. It isn't all that complicated. And add a bit of contact with a string player and you're all set to go.
But don't expect Finale to do it for you. Finale (started with ver. 3.0) 2010, 2011, 2012b installed Win XP basically ALL Garritan sounds, plus XSample Chamber Ensemble.
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." ~John Rogers | Back to Top | |

Instead, put your efforts on marking how the music should sound (using slurs, staccato, accents, dynamics, etc). Jari Williamsson
