Garritan has a voice sound. Is that what you mean?

You mean you want to sing into a microphone and have PrintMusic transcribe it onto a score? Wow!

I think he wants to sing live over the music in Finale PrintMusic as another track.

Best to use Audacity or Sonar, or whatever for that affair.

Garritan is not involved in audio recording. I hope that answers the original question.

You can sing with whatever you want to. Can you explain what it is, exactly, that you want to do? Do you want PrintMusic to record your singing and then play it back, combined with other instruments? Do you want it to transcribe it? Why do you mention Garritan? Do you want it to transform your singing in some way?

Full Finale allows an Audio track. It will not notate it, but one can record a voice with it. PrintMusic, however, does not have this capability.

Your question continues to baffle me. I've asked you a couple of times specific questions about what you want, but you have not answered them. I will try once more and then I will give up. What do you mean?

1) Do you want PrintMusic to play a background while you sing a melody, karaoke style?
2) Do you want PrintMusic to record your singing for later playback?
3) Do you want PrintMusic to record your singing and notate it?
4) Do you want PtinMusic to record your singing, but replace your voice with a Garritan instrument?

If you do not mean one of these options, then please try again, using a few more words than "sing in PrintMusic with Garritan."

I really do want to answer your question, but I have to know what it is first.

PrintMusic doesn't have an Audio track. Printmusic can use MicNotator, but it is not at all good with vocal. If you are contemplating purchasing Garritan, it wouldn't work any better for converting a vocal to notes than the SoftSynth.

Have you tried using MicNotator already? If not, one try will convince you it is a waste of time for vocal to notation.

Okay, now we are getting somewhere.

What you need to do is go to the User Guide and search for: hyperscribe and MicNotator. There is a handy step-by-step tutorial on how to use hyperscribe. After reading these topics I think you will conclude that what you want to do is near impossible (in fact, the section on MicNotator warns that it is not intended for voice transcription.) The main problem with such tools is that humans cannot produce music with robotic-like precision. You want something that can translate what you intend to do rather than what you actually do. Computer software has a long ways to go before it can get to that point--if ever.

In other words, the answer is No.

Entering the notes in the usual way with Speedy or Simple entry, onto a staff with a Garritan instrument assigned will be hundreds of times faster and far less frustrating.
