Simply put, I am transcribing the score in Finale, and I would like it to be accurate. However, I'm running into an issue with the horns and trumpets, which are specified to be in E, which I can't find in GPO4, nor in GIFF.
I had a look through the various transposing sections in the manual, but it's strangely silent on items like E horns and trumpets.
Is there a way to create these in a score? K M Frye

Eb (two ways), yes, but not E. I guess I could select Eb and knock the part down a half step, but I'd rather do it right the first time if I could.
I also see the custom selection, but here's where my education (lack of) stops me. What would be the correct instruction (up, down, how much, add flats or sharps, etc) to write in the custom field so that my horns and trumpets are correct (on the off-chance someone ever wants to use the score) There must be a way to make it happen, but it eludes me at the moment. Both I and Motet have also published on this forum our transposition charts. You will find the latest revision of my chart attached. I will let Motet attach his, if he wishes.
A few additional notes:
I have tried to make my chart as complete and comprehensive as possible, including transpositions to keys that probably will never be needed. Do not be confused by the sample scale images on the chart. The chart explains what they are. Some of the scale images have non-standard key signatures, e.g. 12 flats, which can be simplified in practice, but I showed them as such for consistency. I stayed in the treble clef for all scale images, so note that some scale images have an 8 either above or below the clef as required. Some of the images overflow the boundary a little. I have not taken the time to fix that yet. The instrument use portion of the table is not meant to be all inclusive. If the chart is too small on 8.5 x 11 pages, open the PDF and zoom in for detail.
