Hi All,

I'm coming back to Finale after a long absence and upgraded my 2009 version to 2014a hoping it would be an improvement. Unfortunately none of my VSTs (East West SO Gold XP and Gypsy Play editions, Komplete 7and EZ Drummer) are showing up in the VST banks. It's been so long that I can't remember where or what files to copy paste into Finale. I also get an error I never got in the 2009 version when I try to open up my exsisting Finale files.. "the ASIO sample rate is not supported by one of the USB interfaces! Please check your sync settings in the Control Panel." If anyone here can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Kind Regards,

Andy

Not sure which version you are using, as your signature says 2010. Anyway, 2014a should have an automatic search feature to find all of your VSTs (Rescan for VST plugins). Have you read up on how to do that?

As far as the sample rate, Finale needs 44,100hz. Make sure you are set to that.

On both my 2014 installations I've had to manually add the correct VST directory, by going Midi/Audio>Device setup...>Manage VST Plug-in directories>Add... I may ne missing something there. You should be able to point 2014 to the same director(y/ies) as your former Finale version. On first load 2014 will validate every VST, so if certain VSTs won't show up, it means they are considered imcompatible with the 2014 audio engine...

All great advice so far. Also just remember about Finale and using 64bit VST plugins. Make sure that's not the problem either with anything you're using.
