Finale lets one attach measure expressions to "all staves," "this staff only," or "staff list." This feature is very useful for having tempo markings at the top of the score show up on all of the parts.

I frequently use smart line styles to indicate changes in tempo (for example, a ritard followed by a dashed line). Unfortunately, Finale only lets me attach them to a single measure. Is there any way to attach them to staff list? If not, this would be a useful feature for Coda to incorporate in the next version of Finale.

Well, you could create it as a shape expression. I've done that once or twice, but it's kind of a pain. I agree that a smart-shape style interface would be easier.
