I have a Korg midi keyboard and Lexicon Omega that I'm using for the MIDI interface. I don't think the issue is with the interface - I already talked to their tech support and it seems to be working OK.
I can't get any sound from the MIDI keyboard and the notation doesn't work either. What am I doing wrong? I read the manual on how to set this upand have no clue what they are talking about.
Thanks | Back to Top | |

I've used Finale for 10 years , but always used Speedy entry. Now I'm trying to use the MIDI option and not having much success setting it up. | Back to Top | |

Quit finale, then go to: Hard drive (mostly C) --> User --> your account --> AppData --> Roaming --> Makemusic --> Finale2011 Locate the Finmidi file, delete it and start Finale. Finale will now detect your Midi devices again and set your preferences, maybe this works.
Important note: AppData is a hidden folder. If you don't see it, you have to check 'show hidden folders and files' (or something like that) under folder options. To do so, open a folder, right click on the menu-bar and select 'Folder options'.

I've never had trouble with MIDI hookup and Finale, so I have a hard time giving advice when someone can't get it to work.
