I am following the instructions in the user manual to flip stems. I choose the Speedy Entry Tool, click on the measure in which I want to change the stems and the editing frame appears. I click on the note I want to change, then shift + down arrow. Nothing happens. I am not using layers. Can someone please help?

Wow! That worked. Thank you so much. Was I misreading the instructions?

It looks like the instructions say "make sure you're in the correct layer" and discuss shift+arrow as a way of changing layers, so maybe you did.
