Greetings to all. I have a maddening and weird problem going on. There are times my HP Laser jet P3015 prints the contents of a page of music into a thumbnail square in the upper left hand side of the page. I never know when this is going to happen and I am having to check page after page on my scores. It will print fine and then just start doing the thumbnail problem. I see it more at the beginning of a print job, in the first couple of copies of my scores. But, it has at times, just started acting up in the middle of the runs. Has anyone had this problem. ZMy printer is a duplex model, if that helps. Thanks for any help gang. Be well and have a great day. Bill Sveglini

I think this happens when Autosave runs as it's sending stuff to the printer. Try turning off Autosave when you print and see if that fixes it.

This usually occurs if Autosave goes off during the print cycle. Turn it off.

If the composer says in effect to the performer: "I do not care whether you perform my music or not," we cannot argue the matter. But if he indicates: "I want you to perform and respond to this music," then his fundamental duty is to write his music so that it is accessible to interpretation. When the performer cannot approach the composer's meaning because of capriciously obscure notation, he may in effect say to the composer: "Why should I bother to puzzle out your music?" - Gardner Read

I have had this problem on occasion even though I never use autosave, so it is possible that there are other routines or background programs that can trigger this on occasion.

Thanks guys, this is a real pain in the butt when printing for 50 students and many are multi page pieces. Be well and have a great day. Bill

Do you have a PDF program? This is less likely to happen since printing to PDF is quick. You can then proofread the PDF before printing it.

I've found that if I do a manual save right before printing it resets my auto save timer and I avoid the teeny music issue.
