Situation on December 8, 2016. The numbers speak for themselves :

Should this forum be kept alive ?
PC poll :
Yes : 75 (96,2%)
No : 3 (3,8 %)

Mac poll :
Yes : 54 (96,4%)
No : 2 (3,6%)

TOTALS :
Yes : 129 (96,3%)
No : 5 (3,7%)

(N.B. : many comments to support the Yes, not 1 supporting the No)

MakeMusic, do you get the message ?

Would the person who voted 'no' care to elaborate? It is the only vote against the current forum recorded and a voice not yet heard. Don't you think that your (valid) arguments should be heard as well?

Another reason we need this forum: I would have had no idea that there was a new version of Finale available if I had not read about it on this forum. The automatic "check for new version" function failed to detect it. Nowhere else where I regularly go on the net would have given me this information.

BTW, the upgrade went flawlessly.

Well, both - now that there are 2. Frankly, speaking for myself, I don't care about these trolls.

We can use SWAG here and assume those three are:

1.) Adam Wig
Director, Customer Success

2.) Michael Johnson
Vice President, Professional Notation

3.) Fred Flowerday,
Senior Vice President, Product Strategy

85 "yes", 5 "no" as of now.

As a percentage of those who actually read the forum at all, how large is this sample?

Brian

PS: 86 to 4 if only Dan had hit the right button!

Somehow this topic reminds me of the futility of lobbying the Electoral College.

I voted yes. Of course. Why wouldn't they keep this forum? It's been here for years. I've used Finale since the early 90s but I'll often go many months between times that I use it. I am always returning here for expert help as I "relearn" Finale again and again. LOL

I did notice, recently, that there is another, newer forum available, but I pretty much ignored it and just came here --- a familiar place I know is helpful.
