Warning! I'm a n00b, so please, be patient. sad
What I want to do is convert MIDI file (piano only) into piano sheet music. The file is here: http://www.johnroachemusic.com/avocado.html

I can open it in finale (2003), but I got four staves (two for left and two for right hand).
Is there a way to move notes from lower staff to higher (mo make it readable)?

do 'tools/advanced tools/note mover'
click an empty space on the measure with the notes to be moved and all the notes get little handles.
Take the handles of the notes you want to move to the other staff and drag them there.

or

do plug ins/scoring and arranging/piano reduction, then select the 4 staves..then OK.

Be careful about layers. If you move left hand "2" on top of left hand "1", left hand "1 will
be removed.

How about mass edit, utilities, implode music. You can combine staves together with this tool.

You know what I did?
I downloaded some lame proggy from Notation software (yeah, whateva) and It opened midi file 10 times better; left hand apart from right, with less sharps (still much too much :) ) etc.

Any way, I'll have to get original notes, this is totally unreadable.

Thanks for help.

Does anyone know where to get this avocado (Rolling avocado, Robin Frost)? I L o v e it...

The sheet music for Rolling Avocado is included in the folio 14 Rags and Novelties for the Piano, by Robin Frost.  It is probably available by mail order from Ragtime Express in Colorado.  E-mail them at [email protected].  If that doesn't work, come back, I can probably find another source.
