i was wodering how i could do this (image attached) with finale? how could i put a no. 1, then the piece would end in no. 2.. thank you!blush

If you're using Finale (I'm not sure about the lower-end products), you can do this very easily by selecting the passage to be repeated (with the Mass Edit Tool), then using the Repeats -> 1st Ending Repeat plugin. Everything is simple with this plugin -- repeat signs, 1st ending bracket and all. Then use the Repeat Tool to add the 2nd ending bracket (graphic only; i.e., to show where the 2nd ending actually begins.

And if you upgrade to 2005, the newly designed repeat tool does both endings for you at the same time.
