I'm running Finale 2005 on a G4 powerbook 1.33 GHz. I have the playback set to the Quicktime sounds, but every time I Save As Audio File... it uses the SoftSynth sounds. Is there anyway to Save As Audio using the Quicktime sounds?
Thanks,

Whenever I have wanted the Quicktime sounds for my files, I have saved it as a MIDI file, and then converted this to audio in Quicktime (which may be an exclusive Quicktime Pro feature). The playback is not as good as using the SoftSynth since you don't get the Human Playback features (I think). Nevertheless, it works.

I tried opening it in iTunes and converting it to AAC from there, but I got a weird error so I gave up that approach. Turns out Toast Titanium 6 can convert MIDI files to AIF format. Oddly enough it added some reverb, which boggles my mind. I don't mind it so much, I'm mostly just confused as to why it would do that... | Back to Top | |
