Clean install of Finale 2009, updated to the rev. b. I'm trying to do the Kodály "stick notation," and find that the templates do not seem to work. (And by "work," I mean showing up as rhythmic figures (much like a percussion line -- all at the same vertical height) without noteheads; solfegge letters in place of the noteheads.)

Has anyone had success with this in 2009b?

I don't know how they are supposed to work, so I checked the Help files and the Knowledge base. Nothing. I have submitted a question to tech support, and suggest you do the same.

What do you mean by "not work"?
Have you tried creating a Staff Style to do this? I presume you'd have to then put in the Solfa as lyrics or Chords.

ctj,
The question may be "how is it supposed to work?" The Kodály template has the "stick" staff style, but no further instructions. So if Wiggy is correct about adding the solfege as lyrics, then that explains it. Do you have a sample of the notation that you could post? That might help us figure it out.
