|The only way I can come up with (short of getting a finale doc that has the X-noteheads staff style) is to use the text tool. Set the font for Maestro Wide, and use Text>Insets>Symbol... to select numbers 92 and 192. Move them into position. I increased the size to 18, but you can decide that.|
Unfortunately, you would have to do this for each one. There is no way to group copy and paste the text inserts.
The other option would be a font editor, where you could create your own symbol, and enter it as an expression.

|I had the same problem. I have solved it by creating a second line of music for cymbals with the rhythm only - using the up-down arrows will give you x notes where you want them.|
