Finale 2014 - When I try to two-finger scroll up or down, the page slips left & right - making it impossible to stay on the same measure in a large, long score.

Is there a way to restrict the left-right movement - as there is with moving articulations or expressions?

Cheers,

Andrew Homzy, Montreal

What happens if you use a single-finger scroll?

Simple Entry, QWERTY keyboard. That's my system, and I'm stickin' to it.

On my machine with trackpad, single finger scroll will move the cursor, but not the page.

Hmm, I haven't found a way of restricting sideways movement, although maybe the "page up" "page down" keys might be worth trying if the unwanted sideways scroll is an issue? Maybe with practice, the two-finger scroll might become easier to use...

Hector.

I don't have any problem keeping scrolling vertical with my MacBook Pro. Do you have the same problem with other apps, or is it only with Finale?

My problem with 2-finger scroll applies only to Finale 2014 - it should be possible to lock the direction as when moving notes with speedy entry

Also - In scroll view, how can you simply key in a flip to the next full screen - for instance from bars 10-20 to bars 20-30

Click next to the horizontal scroll bar.

I had an exactly the same problem with my MBP Retina. Apple Magic Mouse has solved it. I think it's trackpad problem.

Ooh, that's interesting. I've found Scroll View impossibly sensitive on my MacMini, which has a Magic Trackpad. It's a lot better on my MBP, with the built-in Trackpad.
