Hi Forum
I try to make an audio file from finale.

I go to file > export > Audio > i choose place to save > I see finale screen running to the file but nothing saves inside the folder....

Is this a bug or do I misunderstand something ?

Yours
B

Which version of Finale?
Does the file playback normally?
The process takes some time to complete: you should see a progress bar while the audio file is being rendered and saved.
Have you searched for the audio file with Spotlight?
What OS are you running? Your signature has two OS versions on it.

I get a "Saving Audio file" dialog and a progress bar. Do you not get this?

Are you using Garritan or SmartSoundSoftSynth? Are you selecting AIF or MP3?

I would submit a support request to MM.

Try this: when it comes time to save, save it under a slightly different name or in a different directory than the .mus file. I have seen some strangeness where the audio file actually OVERWRITES the .mus file, with the same name including the .mus extension. You might not notice it because you would be prompted to save the .mus file before closing. I suspect it is related to the 32 character filename limit that Finale is not supposed to have any more.
