Hi,

Is there a way to make the triplet designation look curved—as it is in most traditional scores—and not linear as Finale does?

If I'm understanding your nomenclature, you want to change what Finale calls it the "shape" from "bracket" to "slur." If you change it in Document Options / Tuplets, it will affect any future tuplets you enter into the document. For already-entered tuplets, use Utilities / Change / Tuplets.

You have to fiddle with "left hook" and "right hook" to get the slur more curved, and the vertical position to get it to be outside the "3", but with a little trial and error you can probably achieve the look you want. Press the Help button to read all about it.

Another option might be to eliminate the "shape" and add a real slur.
