Is there an easy way to automatically align multiple articulations
(namely fingerings)? What I want to do is put three finger
indications vertically aligned above the chord they apply to. While
we're at it, I also like to be able to horizontally align the three
fingerings on one note with three fingerings on the next note. I
know I can use guides and such to visually align them, but I'd
prefer something automatic.

You can create your fingerings as text
expressions and then use the TGTools lite
plug-in -> align dynamics

Tracy,

When you create your fingerings as articulations, you can specify their horizontal and vertical placement. If you have already created them, you can edit the definition to include their placement. For more info, check out the online manual section on the Articulation Designer dialog box (p. 22-4 for Finale 2002).

Good luck,

Or you can put them in as Lyrics, as long as you want them all on the same horizontal line from note to note on a system (though you can move them around individually also if you wish).

To have them lined up vertically, just use the different verses.

All good tips, any of which may apply depending on the situation.
Thanks!
